Man to be arraigned in nonprofit fraud - Boston Business Journal:

William O’Brien, 58, of Framingham is chargedf with 11 counts of larcenyover $250, two count s of larceny by continuous scheme and five counts of failurw to file income tax returns. In Octobedr 2008, the AG’s office launchec an investigationafter O’Brien’s alleged activities were reported by the nonprofit organization, which was not identified. O’Brien had been hire d by the nonprofit to handle variouasaccounting chores. The nonprofit eventually discoveredthat O’Briehn had allegedly been diverting payments from the corporatde account of the nonprofit’s account, to another account in his name.
O’Briem allegedly used the moneuy for his ownpersonal use, including to buyinbg items such as tickets to sporting events. He is set to be arraignes in Middlesex Superior Courtthis week.
